The meeting will start at 8:30 am with the hive inspections and rob.  Club Biosecurity Officer Fiona Fernie and I will be leading a hands-on workshop on how to do a disease inspection of the brood on hive 5 which will include a soapy water test for varroa mite.  
Once all the inspection gear has been cleaned up and packed away, we will adjourn to the lunch room for a cuppa and sausage and a presentation by Fiona on changes you will have to make to your hive management techniques when Varroa gets here.  Fiona will then demonstrate how to scorch a hive box to ensure you rid it of all pests and diseases.  
We will also have our usual raffles with more great prizes to win, including a 1 kg bag of coffee beans, a large jar of honeycomb, and a small string of bee LED lights.
